Competition - Two times Australian Senior VJ Champion Jack Smid (pictured below), sailing "Code Red" with son Jason, will be out to recapture his title which he lost last year to Sailmaker Nathan Quirk. Having won both his titles on local waters and with a rumoured new boat being built, Georges River sailor Jack Smid would have to be favourite for the Senior Title. Current NSW Senior VJ Champions Lindsay Mason and Brett Dutton, will be pushing Jack and Jason all the way, in a bid to win the only Senior Championship that has eluded them in the last two years.

The Junior VJ Championship will be wide open this year, with the top three boats in last years National Titles, moving into 16ft Skiffs. It is rumoured that Teralba is set to break Belmont's dominance of the Junior Division.
